Lauren lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband, two dogs, and daughter, who is named for a labor activist and a pioneering women's health and safety advocate.

Originally from the Chicago area, Lauren moved to Seattle in 2002, where she worked in an elementary school with English Language Learner students and students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities. Lauren's undergraduate years took her to the meat-packing factories of North Carolina; the immigrant communities of Hialeah, Florida; the borders of Israel and Palestine; and the cross-roads culture of Vietnam. Following college, Lauren had a successful career as a union organizer, including organizing a retail store from within and leading independent provider interpreters to passing collective bargaining legislation and through a union campaign.

As a law student, Lauren interned at a local union, represented clients in unemployment hearings, and represented clients in child dependency hearings in addition to working at a multiemployer ERISA law firm. Lauren also served as an elected Burien City Councilmember, where she stood with homeless and other marginalized constituents as well as Burien's thriving workforce.

Lauren combines her past experiences to ensure her law firm addresses the social justice and equitable workplace needs of her greater Washington community.
